Harbor Beach | Fort Lauderdale, Florida
Dotted with multimillion dollar homes, sprawling estates, luxury resorts and private beaches, the Harbor Beach area encompasses both the Harbour Isles and Harbour Inlet. The homes of the area are almost exclusively located in gated, waterfront communities. Directly surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean and the New River, Harbor Beach is an attractive destination to many of the yachting enthusiast who make their way to Fort Lauderdale. The largely upscale and residential area is minutes from the bustle of greater Fort Lauderdale, fine dining, shopping, and golf courses.
Residents of the area may wish to take advantage of the exclusivity of the area by joining the Harbor Beach Surf Club. Founded in 1942 and known as the “The Best Kept Secret In Harbor Beach”, The Harbor Beach Surf Club takes pride in the preservation of over 300 feet of private beach, offering a more natural beach experience, without crowds or development. They offer attendants to assist members by providing chairs and umbrellas at the members only beach pavilion and marina. Another popular private club geared more toward those seeking a more resort style experience is The Club at Harbor Beach Marriott Resort and Spa. While the resort is open to guests of the hotel, residents have the option of joining this private beach club. Offering members all the amenities of a resort hotel year round, the club boasts over a quarter mile of private beach access. Both clubs exemplify a goal of the area, which is to provide residents with the ability to keep the Harbor Beach area a close-knit and exclusive community.
